The CWF Team

2012: A year in review

What a year it’s been for CWF!

We reached our 26th Semester and hosted 74 volunteers in 2012, bringing our total number of volunteers to 401! We took 4 great trips to rural Cambodia where our volunteers met CRDT at their HQ in Kratie, and two trips each to meet the Koh Pdao and Koh Preah communities where CRDT delivers their projects.

We’ve seen some cherished friends move on, with receptionist Lakhina moving on to a position at Maybank, Admin Assistant Kan and Security & Maintenance officer Phea relocating to Battambang to work. School Cleaner Kem confidently stepped up to the plate and is doing a wonderful job as afternoon Receptionist, and we’ve welcomed Nimol, Ly Hong, and Rasmey to the CWF family in Cleaning, Security & Maintenance, and Admin Assistant roles respectively.

Since 2006, we’ve opened 1,354 classes for 17,116 Cambodian students, and our 401 international volunteers have delivered more than 59,000 teaching hours. This has allowed us to raise and donate US$92,690 to CRDT! This is an incredible figure which has only been possible with help from everyone connected to CWF.

CWF would like to thank all of our volunteers, our small but hard-working team, and our students who enrol to improve their English, share culture, and make new friends! Another year of hard work over, and a new, exciting one lies ahead!
